How many flies were there?
I will be using your equations in the future.

Just me and a thousand flies.but I suspect I am still at BD = 1/1.

It got worse. Walked into house and sat on sofa to discover flies came in with me. I killed a bunch and am currently killing imaginary flies. I was going to jump in my neighbors pool but he is inside licking his wounds from his fly attack.

Worth a try. I think I have a can.

Can I use that on color slides?

Yes you can. Slides are nothing more than the same cellulose material as negatives but with different dyes. Cigarette lighter fluid will remove fingerprints from slides.

You the man! Thanks for the tip.

BTW We had a heavy downpour and some flooding here this morning so I didn’t get a chance to work on the gunk. Spent the day cleaning up the property.

I did notice that it looked better where I used the mineral spirits.

UPDATE:

Finally had a rain free day with temps around 80°.

Tried a new bottle of mineral spirits but it didn’t work well. It had a whitish color rather than the clear of the old bottle, the old stuff worked better .

Been to several stores but none had the lighter fluid. Will try Walmart tomorrow.

I tried the denatured alcohol and that worked the best so far but did not clean totally.

If the lighter fluid doesn’t work I may have to use the stuff BC suggested.

I should have used your advice because nothing else I tried works well. The Ronson loghter fluid worked best but not not well.

I did a Google search for BASF 900 but only recording tape and building sealers shows up.
