In service date for warranty

I had a long conversation with Dodge Ram today regarding the warranty on my 2017 Isata 5. They clearly are telling me that my warranty starts based upon an "in service date" assigned to my vin number. That date for me is April 18, 2016 even though I purchased this rig new on April 30, 2017. I was told by my RV dealer and I believe I have read in this forum that the warranty from the manufacturer on the chassis begins when it was titled to me. Who is right in this instance?

The "in service date" affects all the Uconnect subscriptions as well as the standard warranty, and power train warranty. If I would have known this, I would have surely discounted the value of this vehicle for the warranties being reduced a year in time.

Does anyone have any insight into this issue.

Thanks.

I can't speak for U-connect as those are a little different and are typically handled from date of use.

Warranty wise...as far as we know, is a delayed start JUST like every other 2nd stage mfg. Every car dealer for that matter...starts the warranty on retail purchase.

Will you confirm that with Dodge so I know how to proceed?

What is the specific issue? Are they denying warranty on something?

From the FCA 2nd stage Manufacturer Participation Agreement.

"Program Overview / Requirements:
 All sales to 2nd Stage Manufacturers must be made through approved FCA US Dealers. The 2nd Stage Manufacturer is responsible to trigger the warranty by submitting the Customer End User Warranty Start Form (attached) after the vehicle is delivered to the end use customer."

I don't have an issue but I would like to know what my warranty is from Dodge. From what you have sent me, am I to believe that my warranty started when I purchased from the dealer? If so, how do I correct the records at Dodge?

Shoot me your VIN and contact info. I'll make sure your dealer turned in the delayed start registration.
