Then you have never been sued for trying to do the "right" thing.

Parts cannot be sent to someone who may not be qualified to install them.

I am not sure what all the automotive OEM's are doing about the Takata airbag recall...but I would guess, they did not send replacement airbags to retail customers for them to install.

It did not happen to Dynamax, but a critical part was sent to someone who was not qualified to install it. They installed it wrong, caused a fire, and sued the OEM. "If it required technical expertise to install, why did they send it?" The customer won that suit. So we do not send critical parts to anyone other than a qualified repair person.

Look for a marine store near you
you can pick one up and have it installed in a blink of an eye
you just need one that is rated for the higher amps

some recalls have provisions for re-reimbursement if you got it fixed through 3rd party

won't be the last expense.... you'll have to layout
but you'll be sure it is done right while up in Alaska

If it is still on recall list of RV's to be done... ...Not your problem they can list it anyways they want... you'll be enjoying your camping trip!

I know what it is to be sued for doing the right thing, I've run businesses several times larger than Forest River. I'm not going to argue the litigiousness of the American society. I'm just expressing my frustration when I went above and beyond to work with Dynamax and Parris RV to solve an issue Dynamax created and was left high and dry.

I would order on Amazon like I did and then have it shipped to a locker near one of your stops before Canada where you can pick it up and then replace it when you can.

Nice choice of a disconnect. I can get it here tomorrow via Amazon so I went ahead and ordered one too. Looks like we're both out the $$ though - ha, ha! At least we'll have excellent disconnects. Maybe we can get Dynamax to replace the puny solar one with the one that would have been used on our main disconnect when we visit the factory.
