Then you have never been sued for trying to do the "right" thing.
Parts cannot be sent to someone who may not be qualified to install them.
I am not sure what all the automotive OEM's are doing about the Takata airbag recall...but I would guess, they did not send replacement airbags to retail customers for them to install.
It did not happen to Dynamax, but a critical part was sent to someone who was not qualified to install it. They installed it wrong, caused a fire, and sued the OEM. "If it required technical expertise to install, why did they send it?" The customer won that suit. So we do not send critical parts to anyone other than a qualified repair person.
