Isata 3 - Safe-T-Alert RV Carbon Monoxide/Propane Gas Detector Bad

Our Safe-T-Alert 70-742-R CO/LP sensor has reached its end of life and needs to be replaced. On our most recent trip it started going off for no reason. Time to replace anyway as it was coming up on 5 years old. May '17

Has anyone else found a good place to source this sensor or a suitable replacement that fits in the same size opening?

Can't find the same model anywhere. It only has the red and black wires connected. 2 white wires were not, which I think are for a propane cut-off solenoid in some other models.

Thanks...

If you verified there is not a propane shut off valve you can order similar 2 wire model from Amazon.

I contacted MTI Industries (800-383-0269) directly this morning for more info and found that the 70 series is currently back ordered. I was told that the 25-742 w/ Trim Ring would be a good replacement for my application, since I don't have the solenoid and that it would be large enough to cover the entire opening.

I will follow-up w/ a post to confirm that it does in fact cover the entire opening when it arrives.

$123.20 plus shipping.

Hope this helps someone else that may be looking...

Just installed the new CO/LP sensor. The model w the trim ring covered the opening perfectly and actually overlapped over a little flaw in the paper covering on the wall. Very happy with so far. A pic of the old and the new and after installation.
