Isata 3 - Shower Door Latching Woes

The wall side where our shower door magnet latches has a rather pronounced convex curve to it along the wall from top to bottom. I'm sure it has always been this way. Certainly as long as we have owned the coach. When latching the shower curtain, the magnetic latch will only latch at the top half or the bottom half as the straight edge of the shower curtain does not match up with the convex side at the wall. I have found it best to try and latch the door on the bottom half in order to prevent water from leaking out of the bottom of the shower.

Curious if anyone has a similar problem and a potential fix? Would very much like to have the door latch from top to bottom.

Thanks

PS: I know the pics are hard to look at sideways. I needed to take the pics in portrait configuration. The 2nd pic has the door latched at the bottom half and the 3rd pic latched at the top half

fixed it. If you take pics with the iPhone, you just need to make sure you edit it before posting...even on the phone if you just crop it, it normally takes care of it.

I would try running a screw into the middle to see if you can draw that back (if no backer in that spot, likely won't work), or shim out the top and bottom a bit, seal the difference. Might need to cut the head rail down if that is what is long. Or shim the magnet in the track on the wall side...or put in positive latch (like hook and eye)

Lots of ways to skin that cat.

If I take pictures with my IPhone in the horizontal position the pictures post straight. Itís only when I take them in the vertical position that they post that way. Hope that helps everyone.

Thanks Brian. Always appreciate your help. Will take a look at which option might work best when it cools down a bit. Also thanks for the tip on the pics... You are a wealth of knowledge...

We donít have a Dynamax, but it looks like the shower stall in our Sunseeker is a very close copy. Hereís the mod I did to give the most elbow and shoulder room, and eliminate shower door malfunctions.

SorryÖ..in order to capture everything, my photos are in portrait vs landscape too.
