Isata 4 TV mount heads up

Hi All,
I'm the proud new owner of a 2019 ISATA 4. Was essentially unused since purchased by the previous owner. I just completed a 3k mile trip with it and and very happy with the unit. It performed flawlessly even with 4 adults and 4 munchkins (we took 2 vehicles as we weren't comfortable rigging 4 car seats for the grandkids) anyway I thought I would share something that occurred just before arriving back home from the trip.

I was running down the road at about 60 when i came to a section on road that was bumpy but the bumps were evenly spaced. This section lasted for about 5 miles. I was trucking along thinking to myself how impressed I was with the unit, in that, we didn't have a single issue on what was essentially its maiden voyage. Well, that thought was abruptly interrupted with a loud crashing sound from behind the cab. When I looked back I found the main TV sitting on the floor. For some reason it ripped the left cabinet support from the cabinet then came down. I'm not 100 percent certain how or why this occurred but I suspect that somehow the oscillation that the evenly spaced bumps on the road caused the mount to stress the hinge support which ultimately failed. Anyway, I spent a couple hours this afternoon repairing it, I think part of the issue is that there is no vertical support beyond the magnetic latches on the right side of the mount / door. I've modelled up a a cup that I intend to mount the non-magnet side (cabinet) catch which will completely entrap the magnet when the unit is closed. This will eliminate the chance of any vertical movement of the door when closed. I will 3d print a set out fron carbon fiber tomorrow and will let you all know how it works and will gladly make the model available to anyone interested. Sorry for the long post but it caused quite a bit of damage and it is avoidable so I wanted to share.

A last note, if anyone knows how / if I can attain some of the cabinet veneer used in the unit it would be appreciated. I was able to repair it reasonably well but there is a part on the bottom facia that tore and still somewhat noticeable. I would like to reveneer that section if I can get some.

Thanks all
Mike
