Part of that is protecting a customer from themselves. A 12V compressor fridge is still a compressor fridge and is still far more power hungry than an absorption fridge. In the past, people would talk about "boondocking" and then not option the absorption fridge, or talk about how important CCC is and then take every "weight adding" option under the sun.

It is true that a 12V compressor fridge will not lose efficiency running through an inverter, but a lot of what salespeople sell you on 12V fridges is snake oil. We are already in the process of testing the "actual" energy draw of a 12V compressor fridge so we are not misleading our customer. So far we have had one last 2 days and one last 5 days (on a single lithium battery) and they both claim to be super efficient. (I am OK with the 5 days, we really just need to make sure it will last over night and have plenty of battery left in the AM)

We will be putting a 12V compressor in a model coming up soon. Once that happens it will likely be available in others once we confirm viability.

I don't think anyone is calling Brian a snake oil salesman, but is stating they are not going to debate Brian's previous snake oil salespeople comment about 12 volt fridges. (see red above)

However, if I am wrong then the community rules about name calling will be enforced.

Replaced Booth/Dinette With Loveseat/Recliners

TJ......I apologize for the late response (I'm finally catching up on my back issues of FRF......)

DW and I purchased a gently used 2019 Isata 3 - 24FW with the booth dinette configuration (similar to the front half of your 28SS). I would have preferred the theater seats, but obviously purchasing used, it wasn't an option at the time. Our first trip was 10 days, and after about the 3rd day, we realized the dinette wasn't going to work for us....sure, it's fine for 2 people to sit and have a meal, but as far as trying to kick back and relax, and watch the TV......no bueno! The wife and I were never able to get comfortable for any period of time longer than about 10 minutes. We got home from that 1st expedition, and I ordered a power loveseat/recliner from Shop4Seats.com.....3 weeks later, I did the install myself (very easy, loveseat came in 3 separate sections). Long story short, best move we've ever made! We can now relax, extremely comfortable.....and don't miss the table or under-seat storage for even a second! The loveseat came with 2 side tables, but other than setting them up once when we first installed the recliners, we haven't touched them once. I had a folding table from Camping World https://www.campingworld.com/outdoor...ck&cgid=tables .....works perfectly for the 2 of us for our 'fancy eating table'.....and stores conveniently between the loveseat and slide sidewall when not in use! Again, absolutely no regrets with the new theater seating (plus I was able to sell the dinette booth/table on Craigslist to help offset *a little* of the cost of the recliners!!!)
