Isata 5 airbag suspension review

I finally had the Kelderman front airbag kit installed. The kit is top notch quality. I only drove the coach for an hour after the install but I am very impressed. The first thing I noticed is that many small rattles disappeared. On the interstate, the jarring expansion joints and bridge thresholds are now just a gentle rise and fall. It really makes a great riding coach a superb riding coach. I am going to do a little experimentation with the pressures but starting out at 95psi and 8inches. Iíll update after a long trip. I'd also be curious if it changes the front ride height and how much control there is to change that and shift weight to balance out customer loading.

They recommend 8" for the most comfortable ride. The ride height looks the same as with the springs. I opted for the manual inflation. They offer a computer/mechanical controlled inflation option that self levels.

If not to much trouble can you post a link of what you purchased. Did you have the installed or did you do it yourself? Looks like a great purchase.

Here is a libk to the kit.

https://kelderman.com/shop/2016-ram-...air-suspension

I did not install it myself. It took 3 guys who are suspension gurus 3.5 hours to install. Worth every cent.

Thank you very much. Now to find someone to install here in the Bay Area. I am tired of our road system and hate flinching at every bridge or railroad track.

It looks like Kelderman has a couple of dealers in the bay area. Each kit is custom made and takes about four weeks to ship to the dealer.

Now if you could only add a HWH leveling control to eliminate the leveling jacks, as found on many high-end class A coaches.

My bucket list is getting smaller. If BC adds a Cascadia option down the road I may be intrigued.

BC,. I did gain a little front ride height and run different pressure left to right to correct the lean on the coach.

Find my original write up on this as I included install instructions for DIY. You need floor jack and jack stands for the front and basic hand tools.

Scott, as we discussed, this is a good mod to improve the ride. Glad it meets your expectations.

I will be discussing the 4 link rear system with Kelderman after I get home in April after wintering in Orange Beach.

I assume the I5 chassis goes to Moride for chassis extension? Would the air suspension for both front and rear be an optioned item added when the chassis is prepped.

I am still looking at upgrading next year to the I5 and the air ride would definitely be of interest. The cost doesn’t look that prohibitive.

The rear Kelderman kit in its current form will not fit on the I5 do to all the RV equipment. Kelderman was looking at some solutions but no luck yet.

Just think about trying to stuff that up there with the fuel filler pipe, the Jacks, the cargo boxes and such.

The 2 stage doesn't fit as rear levelers are right behind the rear leaf spring mount.
I did initial measurements for the 4 link and it looks like it will fit. Kelderman looked at the rear set up, when I had the front bags installed, on the motorhome and says it should work.
Will know more when I stop in April.
