Isata 5 microwave first time use

We just used the microwave for the first time and 15 seconds reheating food it stopped working. No power it seems and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Reset the breaker and still no light or sign of power to the microwave oven. Plan was to use the oven for the turkey tomorrow. Plan B not sure yet.

I’m guessing your plugged into shore power. Did you make sure you have power at the post? Did you try it with the generator on?

I don’t know if this applies to the Isata, but if you have an electric fireplace and you are using it, there could be (some sort of) a switch that automatically turns one off while you are using the other. I know a lot of 30amp RVs are setup this way. Again, no idea about your RV.

Seems obvious - but did you check the plug in the cabinet overhead?

Our microwave was unplugged when we received our I5 and the cord had not been pulled all the way through to the upper cabinet. Maybe yours is just loose since it worked briefly?

Thank you for your feedback. We found the problem. The microwave was plugged into a search protector power strip which tripped. We plugged the microwave into a wall plug and all other plugs for the TV equipment into the power strip.

Was this motorhome supplied from the Dynamax factory with the microwave oven plugged into a power strip?

Not sure but I suspect that the dealer, while installing the Dish Wally, might have done that.

I would have been surprised if that cheap power strip would have come out of the Dynamax factory. How should extra entertainment equipment be plugged in with only 3 outlets in that cabinet? Is there a small power source distributor available the size of the DVD which would help to keep a clean installation.
