Had unexpected cold last night in Virginia, down to 24 degrees. I thought the bays were heated from the furnace., but my remote temperature gage read 25. Can anyone enlighten me on the heat to the bays? Thanks
There is in floor ducting. They cut holes into the bottom of the duct from that compartment. They are not thermostatically controlled from there however. Was the inside toasty warm? or did you turn the T-stat down?
At one time we only drilled one hole, I think they added one on future coaches so there was one at the tanks and one at the utility compartment.
With anything though, if it is not skirted, you get a lot of heat loss from the wind.

The thermostat was set at 72. How can I determine if or where the hole is?
If you shine a light on the ceiling of the compartment that houses the tanks...it passes all the way through to the utility side. You should be able to see the holes in the ceiling of the compartment.
