"pop off" might be optimistic, but it should come off.

Success!

I was able to get the lid off.
You were right...pop was definitely optimistic. :-)

Then I was able to fish some good 4-wire from the corner, over and around the bunk and through the hole with the rest of the wires, down to the A-pillar and over to the OPT switch. Success!

While I had the lid off I screwed the camera controller to the shelf frame. I also added my DirecTV power supply to the space under the shelf. That way it's not taking up room on top of the shelf and there's as much room possible for a Blu-Ray player and the small DirecTV box.

One small screw in the center of the shelf was plenty to hold it down firmly. If I ever need to get the lid off in the future it will be much easier.
