Really simple, pull the black dash panel that surrounds your radio/instrument cluster, I think it was about 8-10 hex head screws. Then remove the screws that secure the radio into the dash. Pull the radio forward and out of the dash until you have access to the rear of the radio. It should be pretty obvious the main plug on the back side has about 10-12 wires going into it. The light green one on this plug will run into the dash and be connected to a single black wire. I clipped it at the connection, stripped the green wire about 1/2 inch and then put some black tape over the black wire because it is not needed at this time. As i was putting the radio back into the dash I made sure to keep the green wire out to the side so I could ground it with the screw that secures the top left side of the radio to the dash. Replace the screws to secure the radio in the dash making sure to secure green wire under screw holding radio in the dash. Replace the black dash panel and your done.

My understanding by powering your camera from the running lights, the camera would be on whenever you have the lights on.. We always run with lights on when towing our TT.
