King To Queen Conversion?

We have a 37TS Force HD. While the sleeping space is great with the king bed, we are getting older and have some mobility issues, so we would like some more walk around space in the bedroom. Has anyone successfully cut down the mattress platform to accommodate a queen size bed?
Thanks.

While on the road my wife said it was just too much on her back making the king with so little space. Went to a mattress place and bought a queen and Harbor Freight for a jig saw. 20 minutes and done

On my old 5th wheel that would not have a problem as there was plenty of overhang of the board supporting the mattress. The Force HD does not have as much overhang, and has a very thick support board. So I was wondering if other Dynamax owners have any experience with this. Thanks for your reply.

You may do some measuring and see but we changed to a queen to get some extra walking room and a better mattress and the base was almost the same width as the queen. Ours is an XL so might be different but not there is about 1/2 inch on each side that sticks out past the mattress. Not enough for me to worry about.

So no cut down required in your case?
