Little red light on dash, Isata 3

Hi All,

I just picked up a used 2017 Isata 3 24FW and love it so far. I've been combing through everything and found a small red LED light low on the dash near my left knee. What is that light tied to, it seems to be installed by Dynamax and not MB?

Thanks,
Kris

I have the same year model as you that I bought new and I don't have that light. I think the previous owner must have put that in.

It looks like it may be part of an after market alarm system.

Unless you trace the wiring behind that little LED, you’ll never know.
That’s got all the makings of aftermarket/homemade.
I’ll bet your paycheque.

Great photo by the way....that cinched it.

Why don’t you call the place you bought it and see if they can ask the prior owner? It could be many things, alarm, brake activation if you are setup to tow, etc.

Thanks for all the responses, good to know it's not from Dynamax. I do have other wires exposed, I'll do some more exploring. The Sony GPS SD card slot is in same vicinity.

Thanks again!

Or a way your DW keeps an eye on you when she's not sitting in the passenger seat.

That’s what I was going to suggest. Looks like mine for roadmaster braking system. Good luck!!

geneandjan is the winner! I traced the wire and it leads back to the trailer wiring harness. After using a jumper wire at the rear of the coach at the wiring harness the light is lit. Simply a signal light for the Invisibrake.

Thanks for everyone's input!
