M2 Harman Speaker Upgrade
There is a thread from earlier this year talking about speaker upgrades for the M2. Harman was releasing a JBl speaker/subwoofer system.
Did a part number ever get released for this upgrade?

No, but you should be able to reach out to parts for that.
It was a JBL sub, amplifier and two dash speakers.
Well, maybe I found a part number.

Thanks again Brian...
Ordered, received and installed the JBL PREMIUM 185JBFLM2KT08. It did not come with wiring instructions but was self explanatory.
The bass is working well but the dash speakers are not. They work fine if I directly wire them to the Kenwood but not if they are wired through the JBL Amp.
Do you have a manufacturer technical support contact I can speak with?
Thank you in advance...
Ed

River Park is the supplier on that. First step is to get a wiring diagram and make sure there isn't an issue there....but my engineer out until the 16th. I know a while back he sent me something about tying in the radio to the house batteries??? let me see if I can find that.

Well...not what I thought, it was just a simple line drawing to show how to get constant power.

Thanks agin Brian...
I spoke with Brad at River Park Tech Support. He helped me troubleshoot the issue. Learned that it is important to draw constant power directly from the battery vs splicing into another source such as a cigarette lighter wire.
Also... just a heads up. The speaker ends do not fit what is in the 2018 Dynaquest. Had to remove the connectors and splice directly in to the speaker wires from the Kenwood and the other end going to the front speakers.
Sounds absolutely Great! Wonderful Upgrade!!!!

Here is the harness for the radio, the JBL harness plugs into one of the power and grounds and front speakers and sub is off of the amp.

Will be around $1,000 with shipping. Well worth it and cheaper than having our local stereo build a similar system. Another advantage is that the Harmon JBL system is already tuned for the M2 cabin.

Nice...I agree that it makes a big difference. just having the low end sub I think, rounds out the sound.
I will also say, the new Mercedes audio is much better now (could use a little more bass). The 2019 ram chassis I test drove in the 28SS demo, was really nice. Bass was thumping...for stock audio, I was very happy. All are MUCH better than what is coming on the Ford E450.
