MicroAir 364 soft start
Has anyone installed a MicroAir 364 softstart for your AC units. We are scheduled to be in several 30 amp only parks for an extended amount of time. I read the Softsyart Brand has issues. But the MicroAir Brand is preferred.

I have the MicroAir, works great on my 13.5k unit. Allowed my Yamaha generator to run it without issue.

I have been using these for over 4 years on 3 RVs. I recommend them without reservation. I too have been able to run and more importantly start my 13.5 units on a Honda 2000 generator, vintage 2001.

I assume you are referring to the Micro Air units?

Just to be sure we are talking about the same thing:
https://www.microair.net/products/ea...nt=30176048267
I installed one on both of our air conditioners and successfully run a 15K and a 13.5K on 30 amps (with the knowledge that you need to shut one off to use the microwave).

No experience with the SoftStart brand but I installed the MicroAir Easy Start 364 last spring and it works as advertised. I have a Honda 2000 generator that handles the air conditioner just fine.

I have a 15k btu ac and a Ryobi 2200 generator. The microair works great to allow me to run the ac.

I run 2 of these installed on pair of 13,500 Coleman ACs run off an 8Kv generator. With this installation I can run a single AC and the microwave from a 30 amp shore power outlet. Both ACs and the microwave function nominally with the generator.
I used to run a another on a 15,000 btu AC with a 6KV generator. The AC never had a problem with the generator but with a 30 amp outlet, unless I had the Inverter on, every time the AC would start, the system would load shed which caused the TV to cycle off/on. After the installation this did not happen with or without the inverter.
