Motorhome Storage ?
What kind of building do you store your motorhome in or do you at all? Do you keep it at home or store somewhere else? I have a Morton building on my farm that I could use but it is not in sight from my home and sits near a trailer park on the far corner of my land. It is a well run park by my neighbor but sure would like it where I could see it.

We store ours under cover in a gated storage facility. Wish we could have it at home. Next house.....

We bought a house here in Lake Havasu City, AZ with a 14' x 56' attached insulated garage. This is very common here. DW didn't want the DX3 cooking in the hot AZ sun.

We have ours in an garage type enclosed storage (no insulation) with electricity for charging batteries. Our deed restrictions don't allow storage at home. Had to get it out of the hot sun.

I’m currently building a 30x48x16 insulated pole building on my lot but it’s been parked in my driveway.

My dad and I built a 50x75 toy garage, commercial building. I can add on another building down the road and rent out the storage. We rent one of the units now, 25x50 and make enough to cover taxes, utilities and paying down loan. Very happy with the building.

Right now I park it under a carport at my shop. Not ideal but it keeps the sun off of it. I'm in the process of building a 4200 sq. ft. garage with 14' doors to park the RV in with drains in the floor to wash it inside.

My dad and I split a pole barn near his house in Wisc. No way the RV will ever set foot near the house (In Chicago). Its rough having it 75 mi away but it works and its nice having it inside.

I park mine in a car port attached to my workshop. Workshop is insulated heated/cooled but is only 24x32 with 10 ft high door. Here is a couple of pics with our previous coach under it.

Great idea on the drains. I have a 3 bay garage on my home and wish I would have put drains in one bay just for that.

We did the sloped floor with drains as well, I covered the walls with a fiberglass sheet material that is used in commercial kitchens, no drywall or wood to get wet when washing.

I keep mine in one bay of my shop, it's insulated and heated. Also keep a dehumidifier inside the coach to keep down the dampness. I dump close to a gallon of water a week from it.
I'm not sure what a Morton building is. Is it enclosed? Is it practical to add an alarm system and cameras to keep an eye on it?

Every time I build a shop (I have built several) I put 3 courses of block above the slab for that very reason. Plus it leave a 4" shelf all the way around the shop for me to set tools parts and everything else that I need to "misplace" and spend 30 minutes looking for....LOL

A Morton building is a cream of the crop for buildings/shops. It's for them rich folk.

Its for a poor ole farmer who used it to store hay in for years. Its only a 3 sided building right now but I am pouring a slab and closing in the 4th side with 2 14' doors. I think now with this info it will be a sloped slab with a drain in it for sure. The guy pouring the slab cant get to it for about 3 weeks so plenty of time to get ready and put the drain in.

Yes the block is a great idea. Wish I would have done that on this building and another horse barn that I have. I built it pole style and its great but a block foundation would have been better and less trouble trying to keep the horses from kicking and breaking stuff.

Just make sure to leave some part flat for the inevitable 2 post lift. If I can’t get around to building mine I may as well live vicsiliusly through you
