New DX3 questions for Bclemens

Hi everyone, new member here. Dee and I are about to order a new 2018 DX3 37TS. We live in Colorado are moving up from a class A to the DX3 primarily to get the improved towing & braking performance because we tow a 27' race car & enclosed trailer. Not to mention the king bed and the FRED configuration just feels safer!

Now my questions for Bclemens:

We are struggling to make our exterior color choice and there are no dealers in Colorado that have DX3's in stock so we can see them up close and personal. We are willing to fly back to your factory ASAP if we can see:

1-Examples of each exterior color choice on a real rig
2-Go inside a 37TS to see what it looks like with or without the cab over bunk option. Also to see the different interior color options
3-Be able to test drive a 37TS around the block or if there are any dealers nearby where we could do the same?

We are planning to get theater seats and the 50" TV/fireplace combo. Possible to see a unit with that in it? Also, can we get the cab over bunk option along with the 50" TV/fireplace option? We really don't need a swing out TV that is included in the cab over bunk option, can that be deleted?

Last, you offer frame powder coating and full underside under coating on some of your other Super C models, can this be done to the DX3?

Send me a PM if you want. I'm currently in Australia on business but will be back in the US next week.

Thank you! We are excited!

We don't have anything in terms of a showroom, so we don't have everything that we offer on display. Just a disclaimer, if you come and see us, what we have is what we are currently building at the time of your visit, so I cant promise that we will have exactly what you are looking for, and you have to put up with me ; )

I have photos of just about everything we have done (since I've been here) and can help in that regard too. Send me a DM and I can send you what I have in my Dropbox to help, and then plan a tour!

We will for sure. Where are you located? Which model do you have? Any issues or is it all great? Do you trailer your Jeep or flat tow it?

Like your Jeep too. We have a 2016 Rubicon X that I built, 4" lift, 37's, 4.56 gears, winch, etc. We have been going to Moab for years (Which is one reason I want more towing/braking power). We used to have a buggy I built (LS, AA T-case, T400, 1 ton axles, 42" IROKs, etc) for Moab but we are mellowing a bit now.

Thanks, I figured the DX3 would have no issue either way. I was asking about if he flat tows to see if he was able to get a tow setup in his Jeep that works with the lifted suspension, front winch, etc.

I trailer. When I weighted was about 8k all in with the Jeep and trailer. Tows like a champ. Slows down on I70 a bit on the steep 7% grades (45-50mph) but that's just fine tbh. No complaints at all.

Had a few hiccups out the gates, mostly minor a lot of which I fixed. Had some weird cracking in the tiles (about 8 of them) that Dynamax took care of under warranty, haven't had anything resurface there this year. All in all has been a great experience. Spent 2 weeks in CO this summer and got back and marveled at how we had zero issues or complaints, feel like its all dialed in now.

I run a Jeep and added a buggy this past winter (to avoid damaging the jeep so much) so I'm in a similar setup.

That's awesome. I miss having a Jeep that I offroad, but then I don't miss the broken parts and the bills. LOL. I guess one of our Jeeps is for daily driving and towing behind the RV, the other one is for car shows, no more mud.

Funny. I thought I recognized the "16" and "15" RV spot ID's on the trees in the first pic, but I didn't recognize the trails in the others...just assumed they were all from the same park.

We go to Hot Springs several times a year.

Nice. I wish I was closer. Was down there in March and then just spent Labor day at SMORR.

Mine started life as a 1969 Toyota FJ40. I cut the back half off and installed a 4 link rear suspension. Front is a custom built long travel leaf spring setup so it is still street legal in Colorado. LS engine, Turbo 400 automatic, AA transfer case, 14 bolt shaved rear end w/Detroit locker, Dana 60 up front with ARB air locker, 5,13 gears, 42" IROK's, full DOM tube exo-cage. This picture is from "High Dive" in Moab, Utah.

Very sweet...love those Redline doors. I've got '77 FJ40 and a '75 FJ55 both built as crawlers. Recently sold a grey FZJ-80 just like the one in the first pic as well.

Small world.

Very nice! Yeah LS swap is coming at some point. Though its kind of fun being out there with all the big boys and follow them around with a measly 190 hp.
