New explorer package solar layout
Picked up our 28ss explorer on Friday. Dealer did not have a ladder so we could not look at the roof. Took the rig home, parked in front of our house and saw the roof. Looks to be missing a few things. Dealer has calls and e mails into Dynamax. Along with other issues we are not too happy right now.

What's the last (6) of the VIN?
I'll have to look at the original order. If the dealer checked the 200 watt solar option, I can see the guys installing that option vs. the Xplorer solar. Should have at least raised the question....but, I can see it happening.

When I looked into the electrical storage compartment there is everything that is supposed to be there and all the wires are there that are supposed to be there. So I just assumed it was all good.

Two different crews. Roof guys will set the panels, and the all the wiring is built into the harness. Guys on the ground will hook up their end. Because they are wired in series and then connected to one display panel it would not be readily noticeable. If QC saw the wiring in the bay and solar reading on the panel, they also might not expect only two panels. Something we will add to the checklist...to physically verify the correct number of panels.

Motorhome should be going back in 2 weeks for warranty work to hopefully install all the panels.

I am shocked that the dealer did not have a ladder!!!! How can they offer any service if they cannot access the coaches they are selling, roof inclusive. Just makes no sense.

Yea it didn't make sense to me either, and they didn't want me to use the ladder on the other trailer that was sitting next to mine. To be fair the other rig was also being picked up that day.
Learning lesson, check everything before driving away.
I just hope it can all be done in 3 weeks as that is when we finally have time off to do some camping.

I know Daneille was already working on this with Woody's...so unless there is a shipping delay to Canada, we should be ok.

I'm more worried about Woodys having the ability to get me in, I only have talked to the sales manager from Leduc where we bought it, but have not been able to get a hold of the service manager in Calgary where the work will be done. I did leave a message. Hopefully will hear something tomorrow. Will keep calling until I hear something.

Have to take the rig in next Friday so they can see what is required. Then schedule a time to get it finished.

Yes, I am sorry, a dealership that didn't have a ladder? That doesn't pass the straight face test.

The reviews for the dealership we bought from are not the best and the feeling I got from them was not the best, so luckily I get to deal with a different one closer to me for the warranty work. Unfortunately where I live the one I bought from are the closest dealer that sold Dynamax.
I Wish I didn't have to have a dealership fix this, if it wasn't so far to Dynamax I would send it back or if the border opened drive it myself but I don't want 10k km on my new motorhome.
Would prefer to have a different dealership do the work but they are not a forest river dealership.

Took it into the local dealership, they had a look and took some pictures to send to Dynamax. Once there is a plan hopefully this will get fixed. Not too happy with the lack of confidence from the service manager that this will be a quick easy fix.

10k. km or 10000 km. Has 3000 just from being delivered. Would be another 6000 if it was sent back to Dynamax.

Makes sense - I did misread. I have been trying to avoid the same unfortunate consequence.
