New recall issued?

Always seems to be something...

Stellantis, formerly known as Fiat Chrysler, said Friday it was recalling more than 266,000 of its pickup trucks in North America and other markets following a probe that found some vehicles may have faulty airbags that, if exploded, could hurl shrapnel toward passengers.

The vehicle manufacturer said in a statement that the recall includes Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks from the 2015 to 2020 model years, as well as some previous generation 1500 pickup truck.
Quoted from Getty.

If it includes the 3500, it probably includes the 5500 C&C but that remains to be seen.

For sure but owning a vehicle that a dealer cannot get into their shop is not a challenge for most of the "millions" of other recalls. This is the case for many of our I-5s and the dealers just shrug when you ask them how they are going to do a repair/service/replacement. As long as they do not say NO, they do not violate their dealership agreements but that does not mean they have to give you a recall/service appointment.

Ran into this just this week on a warranty item. Suggested I drive 200 miles one-way to a dealer that they "knew" had a big enough shop. And this is in the DFW area which has 51 dealers registered.

I must admit I stopped calling at #35 when they said sure we can do that...until I arrived.
