No power to steps or entry keypad

Our step motor recently started making a loud grinding noise (sounded like the gears were stripping). I ordered a new step motor and, in the meantime, our entry keypad lost power intermittently then completely.

Today I replaced the step motor. There is no power to the step or keypad. I noticed the local fuse was blown so I replaced it and made sure the fuses were operating at the multiplex panel under the bed. Still no power to step or key pad.

These may be two separate issues, but I am wondering if the power unit for the step motor needs to be replaced (kwikee step control unit #1800709). Would this power unit affect the steps and the keypad? Any other suggestions?

a quick way to tell is check for 12V to the power control box. You did have a blown fuse it may have fried. My guess is the keypad and step both get power from the control box. JMHO

I checked with my multi-meter...It seems that I do not have power going to the steps power unit. I checked the fuse marked "steps" at the Plex panel under the bed and the local in-line fuse are both good and there are no breakers tripped... What am I missing?

In Georgetown motorhomes there’s this Battery Control Center full of fuses and breakers for various functions aside from the distribution panel located in the bedroom.

In Georgetown units it’s located on the wall underneath the entry steps.
Is there one of these in a Dynamax unit like your model?
