Our best Isata 3 upgrades so far

We have a 2017 RW. We put dimmers on most of the light switches and added improved speakers inside. We then put Michelin Agilis all around which made a nice improvement in the ride. This weekend we changed the Anderson 200RV plastic valve to the Anderson MAN101RV-RF all brass valve. Today we switched out the rear shocks for Bilsteins, which has been the best improvement to date!
Don't feel too many more upgrades are necessary. The previous owner had Mercedes tune the engine to give it more torque and HP. Love our Isata 3!

Oh, forgot two more important ones. Built a stairwell cover so the dogs have more space while traveling and replaced the door seal. The new door seal really cut down on wind noise.

Mercedes will tune the Sprinter's engine for more torque and HP? Do you have any details on that? Is this the 3 liter V6? What is the horsepower output after the tune? Is it now more than 188 HP?

More HP For Mercedes V6

Can your shop provide details of the tuning changes to get more HP and Torque from the Mercedes Turbo Diesel? How did the changes effect the mileage you were getting? Do the changes comply with EPA and CARB requirements?

I did the door seal change and it does make a huge reduction in noise. I am thinking about the Bilsteins soon. I have done a ton of changes to my 2016, so far the best is the Lithium Batteries, Lithium PD Converter, Li-BIM 225, 2 more solar panels, 2K Invertor and Victron BMV-712 Monitor. Gotta have control of the power. Also just put on six Michelin XPS Rib Tires and a TST-507 RV TPMS.

This is kind of spendy, but Renntech is an established tuner who's products have a good reputation on other Mercedes. I'm waiting until the engine warranty is up before I install one.

265 hp and 422 tq.

Wow. Impressive performance gains. Any idea how it impacts mileage?

What/where did you use for the new door seal?

I used this from Amazon. Removed old seal, cleaned and applied this in its place.

Trim-Lok Rubber Seal EPDM Closed Cell Sponge Rubber with BT (3M) High Strength Tape System, D Shape, Height 0.562 inch, Width 0.75 inch, Length 250 fe

Very good stuff.

Thank you both... Curious if you used one consecutive piece wrapping around the corners or did you cut each side on a 45 at the corners? ordering now...

PS: I too installed the Bilsteins. Great improvement. Especially for under $200.

Ran it around the corners but cut and ended it at hinges, continuing on other side of each hinge.

Door seal

We took off the door completely to install it. Think we mostly did it in once piece but can't quite recall as it's been a year. Here it is on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Trim-Lok-D-Sh...p?ie=UTF8&th=1

This is for the 25 ft length which is plenty.
