Parking Brake Requirement for slides

I was sure I had seen a post that someone had a rewire or work around for the parking brake requirement for putting out the slides. Has anyone done some kind of rewire or override?
Thank you.

If you would post what product you have, year, model that would help immensely in trying to answer that question.

I don’t remember that, but there was a wiring work around so you could keep the motor running. It was a while back so you’ll have to dig for it if it interest you.

I found it. It’s titled Isata 3 slide lockout and the date it was posted is 7/6/2018. There’s an attachment on the 2 or 3rd page by BC showing how to bypass the lock out. I did mine and it worked great.

Thank you.
Guess I'm not sure why this would be an issue. Do you move your RV with the slides out?

This is a safety issue. On our Georgetown 2011 330TS, we must set the parking brake before deploying leveling jacks and putting out the slides. Motor off for slides and running to deploy hydraulic jacks.

Our 2020 Georgetown also requires the parking brake to be engaged and the engine running for the running the hydraulic jacks. But the engine can be running or not when extending or retracting the slides.

A Winnebago we looked at also required that the engine be stopped to use the slides. Both the Winnebago and our Georgetown use the Power Gear SlimRack slide system. Go figure.

I am thinking it was the wiring work around for the engine running, I was recalling. Thank you for all your comments.
