Propane tank filling

I want to top off my propane tank before the next "Blizzard of the Millenium" passes by.

Should the toggle switch by the propane tank be in the on or off position for filling?

This is my second RV but my first time getting propane. The LED indicator has been on 2/3 all winter and I have used the heater for a few hours at least once a week.

Thanks,

Bobby

Technically it should be off and all valves should be closed, but a lot of time the filler will refill it with the switch on and the valves open.

That is a remote fill, so its not the same as most tanks.
I talked to my guys and the switch needs to be OFF which shuts the solenoid down.

I went ahead and got it topped off before these responses. To be safe I turned it off and it looked like the guy checked that it was off.

It took 5.2 gallons or pounds, I don't know which. Perhaps someone will tell me. $19.50

That was with the LEDs showing 2/3 full.

Thanks for the replies.
