PSA: Owner's Manuals & Supplier Contact Info

The "Actual" owner's manual is a fairly generic document. While it has been updated to contain WAY more relevant information it is not brand specific.

The MAGIC in the manuals are that each brand/division can add additional data, including videos, manuals, "how to's", etc as questions/feedback might dictate.

Please do not forget to go here and look around.
https://forestriverinc.help/#/dynama...2022/motorhome

Also, please do not be upset with any of my people if they do not just "email you" a copy of the manual. They might, but I have told everyone that I would really rather they send you a link to the "parent folder". That way you get in the habit of looking there in the future (Feed a man a fish, teach a man to fish)

The most powerful section in my mind is the component manuals.
https://forestriverinc.help/#/dynama...ponent-manuals

That is a digital version of the appliance manuals. Care & maintenance tips, sealant schematics, etc.

ALSO, we added "floor plan specific information" for service locations
https://forestriverinc.help/#/dynama...%20Information

This is is a "Living Document" in that we will update them often. If we see something is missing, we will add it.

For example, someone had an issue finding the transfer switch on an Isata 3 Series. So we are in the process of uploading a new version that has that called out.

So for people that are like "why doesn't XXXX do something about their crappy manuals". You actually have the power to make change. Just let us know what part is crappy, missing, wrong and it we'll make it better for you the next time.

Sticky is not a bad idea...Admins?

Though, I don't want to be too high maintenance. (too late?)

Hey Admins, I will trade you. Can you UNSTICKY the "Supplier Contact Sheet" and instead sticky this one? I realized we had made the contact sheet as part of the "Owners Manual Resources".

Man....it just gets better and better.

Brian, do you have floor plan specific information for the 36ds? Wiring diagrams, etc? I know in the past you mentioned they had to go through legal (or something like that). Only thing I have is piping and a wire harness plug identifier pdf. Would be nice to have all this in one place.

I don't own a Dynamax but I clicked on some of your links anyway just to see what was being offered. The component manuals link has a lot of info that is useful for all of us, no matter what type of RV we have. I especially liked (of the ones I have looked at so far) the "Go Power - RV Solar Experience Guide" under the "Electrical" category.

Thanks.

Is the Dynamax/ Forest river manual app supposed to update and have all this?
I think the original concept was also to have the app download the latest videos and manuals....but it doesn't seem to work off line which is a problem

Not yet, but in the plans. We're trying to add staff.

The app can access this info, but the full download ended up being far too large to be accessible offline. It is still in the system as a request.

We also offer the flash drive which is accessible offline and of course you can add to it as needed.

I was never sure from Winter to Winter which way was ON. So I got underneath the coach with a thermometer, took a reading. The switched it in the opposite direction and took a reading 15 minutes later. With that indication I marked the direction for ON with a label.

If you are not sure now, it may already be ON so the time gap between readings wont allow for much of a decrease but it will decrease when the switch is reversed.

Yes, that's what I recall. But it's good to be sure. If you have them on in Summer, you can melt something. My pads detached from the tank.

Ohpps! That wasnít good. Hope you didnít have too much trouble resolving that. Iíll do a temp check later in the fall when it gets cooler or cold which ever hits first in Colorado. And Iíll keep it in the down position till I want to use it. Thanks for your time and info!

IMO, these Online Owner's Manuals are lame. Many people need help from a manual when the are USING their unit and this is often done in areas which do not have internet access.

Well, thatís why we provide hard copy manuals as well.

What we canít do, is put a video into a paper manual. We canít update your paper manual on the spot when new information comes out. You canít use a search function on paper manuals. I think also provide them on a flash drive. The interactive manuals are just way more functional and flexible to add and update.

Hello fellow Land Yachties!
Bought a hand held temperature taker thingy. Bought it for taking temps all over RV but mostly for inside tire temps on dual axel in rears. Get too hot on inside they blow and can cause fire. Also good for fridge and freezer temps. Anyways I digress…..it’s now below freezing at night here in Colorado so I took temps of black and grey holding tanks,( heating pads clearly visible) Pressed tank heater rocker switch to (on) assuming top depressed, tanks 56 degrees or so, waited till next morning where it had gotten to 29 and crawled back under and took temps of surrounding black plastic things(30s) and then the tanks, 40 to 44 degrees. Have read pads come on at 44 degrees automatically so it makes sense that top depressed is tank heaters are ON. I will repeat several times as it gets colder and I will let you know. Also marked the switch with white sharpe so I don’t get confused.
Hope this helps.
Blessings and safe travels
D3ano

I never received any hard copy manuals with my purchase and the online videos are either outdated or don't apply to the features on my model, despite the fact that I select my model on the website.
