Question(s) for Mr. Clemens
Sir,
We are considering the purchase of a Dynamax, and have narrowed our choice to either the DX3 37TS or the Force HD 37TS
Our dealer sent us (we are geographically distant) MSRP sheets listing certain options, but the list seems limited. I asked him if there was a comparison sheet between the two models and he said that he did not have one. I pulled up both brochures and did a side-by-side overview and came up with these questions:
Is it possible to add the following to a Force HD:
400D Diesel Aqua Hot (and keep the LP cooktop)
Driver and Passenger Air Suspension Swivel Seats
Thetford Sani-Con Turbo Macerator System
3,000W Inverters/Converters
Four Season insulation
Because of our location, we will not be able to see any model in person until April (he is expecting one of each of the above in April, and said we might still be able to make changes soon if we decided upon one.)
Thank you for your help.

Aqua hot - no
Air and swivel now standard on HD
Sanicon now standard on HD
3000 watt inverter/charger - no
Technically both Force HD and DX3 are 4 season depending on location. Both have heated tanks. Force with the furnace, DX3 with an aqua hot zone.
On the flip side, you could order a DX3 with cab over bunk now. While it is not listed, you could upgrade to the 400D and keep the LP range. That is how we originally optioned it, but 90% of our buyers optioned the 400D because they wanted to eliminate the LP tank. So we made that (all electric) a package and if you wanted to option individual items a special request.

Thank you sir for the quick reply.
You mention that they are "4 season depending on location. Both have heated tanks."
What does the "4 season" package include, and is there a specific name for that option/package that I would look for if I found a model already at a dealership?
Also, you mentioned "depending upon location". What locations include this?
Thank you again.

There is no 4 season package. Any unit that will be used in cold weather will have dual pane windows, heated and enclosed holding tanks and decent insulation.
Both the DX3 and Force have dual pane windows, standard. Laminated sidewalls with insulation in the walls, roof and floor. In addition the holding tanks are enclosed below with a heat duct piped into that compartment to keep the tanks from freezing.
Now as for location, I am careful to preface anyone asking about a "4 season coach" that there really is no such thing. Even a house, when it gets really cold they tell you to let the faucet drip, open cabinet doors where plumbing is located, etc and a house will typically have a basement or crawl space. An RV does not so it allows heat loss on all surfaces(You'll typically see 5th wheels with skirting for long time placement in cold weather). So while you can use them in 4 seasons, it's not without taking precautions. For instance if you plan to hang out in Edmonton when it's 40 below, you need to be careful how you use the unit (open cabinet doors and enclosed spaces to prevent cold spots, make sure the heat stays on). If you're talking winter in the pan handle or taking it through the mountains to get someplace warm you'd have no problems. It's just about having realistic expectations.

Got it, thank you.
As I perused information that you provided others here, I seem to recall that you mentioned that a brake controller would be standard in the 2018. Is that correct?
If so, what make and model is being used? (In case we find a 2017 without one and wanted the dealer to install.)
Thank you.

Last one (for at least this week)
What is the nominal size (and mfr and model number if you can) for the round clear glass shower in the DX3?
Thank you

The shower is 34x34 and is one piece Fiberglass. The door itself is made by SEA (shower enclosures of America). Distributed here in Elkhart by Praxis.
