Looks good Dennis, is the nut still there that you screw the bolt with the plastic knob into?

This is the nut I was talking about, I can not see if it is in your picture, and where did you get the vacuum caps, from an auto parts store?

Joe mine did not have the nut and knob, just a bungee cord. I did get the caps from advanced auto they went over top of caps that came with latch.

Here is my install of the Recubed latch. I took less than 5 minutes to install. To open, you simply push the button on the lock pin and slide it up. The built in magnet holds it to the door. This is installed on the Fridgidaire in the Isata 5. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

How did you get past that welded nut that is in my previous picture?

Or did you remove that whole plate?

My knob/bolt works good while traveling, I was looking to put something

on the door while camping. We have had occasions, that if you slam the

lower door, the freezer door will pop open a little and not seal all the way

and then you get a little melt down.
