Registration Cost

We registered the DX3 today after receiving all the paperwork from MHS.

We paid MS sales tax (5%) on the actual sales price documented in their paperwork...exactly what was expected. However, MS applies some sort of discount to the MSRP in order to calculate the use (ad valorem) tax...the actual price of the tag here. They rely on their 'system' to lookup the MSRP.

Look up the vehicle under Dynamax...nothing found.

Look up the vehicle under Forest River...nothing found.

Apparently, MS doesn't believe Dynamaxes exist yet. In order to give us a tag, they based the use tax on the sales price as well. I've got a feeling this isn't over yet...

In Louisiana we paid 9% sales tax on the actual purchase price, no trade in, then about $200 every 2 years for registration.

In Ontario CANADA

We pay 13% sales tax, one time Registration is $20. That is it. If you trade you only pay the tax on the difference.
