Remodeling has begun...
I’m decently impressed with the amount of storage we have but the one thing that drives me nuts is there is NO place to put a broom or Swiffer or anything with a handle.
Soooo, I decided to stack the washer and dryer and use the space as a pantry/closet where the dryer was.
I took the shelf that sits above the washer and dryer and reused it as a wall.
A piece of paneling on the other side will make it look nice from the pantry side and the carpeted piece of plywood gets placed vertical on the inside of the washer and dryer area making it secure and quiet.
I’ll post pics when it’s done.

Thanks! It’s finished except for some way to hide the dryer hose.
Amy came up with a great idea. If we turn the entire closet into pantry space, we can take the shelves out of the factory pantry (only 6-7” wide) and use that as the broom closet.

Box in the dryer hose, and use some of the space for a secret hiding spot. 🤫
But don’t tell anyone.....

Looks good. and not a bad idea. I like NOT having the washer/dryer stacked and liked the space above for additional hanging space. But for the minor inconvenience of stacking them you get a really functional hanging/pantry/tall storage space. Something we'll look into.

When break in, that's the first place I'm looking. I mean, when "someone".
