Replaced furniture in our DX3

Removed the old and replaced with new theater seating and booth from Recpro.. Very easy process, took probably an hour to get all the old out and maybe 30 mins to put the new in. The recliners have USB chargers built into the trim ring around the cup holders. The cup holders have blue LED's in them as well. You can order without those options if you choose. The color is their "chestnut" and it is a near perfect match to the rest of the fabric in the coach. The couch is their 70" and the booths are 40". Fit and finish is perfect. For the cost I dont think you could beat it.

That looks sharp. Nice work. I am guessing you had to take the old out in pieces to get it out of the door?

Yea come apart pretty easy. The booth/couch wrap around portion is one piece. The couch portion with the hide a bed is another and then the other booth.. The hardest thing was getting the hind a bed portion of the couch out by myself. The rest was a snap. It looks much better in person, the pics make it look shiny or glossy and it isn't at all. It has a very cool looking textured finish. You can get on their website and request swatches and they will send them for free.

I haven't weighed it but no hide-a-bed, and all the drawers that were under the couch and booths were metal frames. So this should be lighter..

Why did you remove the old furniture? Uncomfortable or structure issues or ???

My reason for wanting to change mine when I get a chance is they're uncomfortable. The booth at table is ok, but the couch.. not good for me or the wife.

It was a 2016 and we bought it used. The pleather upholstery was torn in several places and cheap in appearance. It wasn't the most comfortable, but wasn't bad. We are new empty nesters and for the most part won't have the kids with us and we don't need the extra pull out bed. Theater seats made the most sense for us. We will be replacing the love seat across from the theater seats with a tv setup.

Looks good...and just like the dinette we use today.

When we changed from that "ensemble" many people were upset. They liked the look. The issue is, it was not all that practical. It makes the dinette pretty small, the bed small and who is sitting on that small wrap around section? It was "form over function".

Our 1024 DX3 had the 'ensemble' shown in the top picture, but there was nothing really useful about it, so we ripped that whole side out & put in 2 individual recliners & slightly smaller couch/bed. Much better arrangement. It may have looked nice but it wasn't practical.

I want the opposite...lol. I have the theatre seating and want what you had. I just wish it was in a lighter color to match mine. (BTW, I REALLY like the chestnut color)

We are planning to change out all the furniture and mattress in our 2020 CedarCreek Hathaway. Very disappointed in the quality and comfort. We've only had this unit for 6 weeks and wake up with backaches and when we use the theater seats we get same result. We saved our Lazy boy furniture from old unit so well use it in CC.
Just was wondering if yours was intolerably uncomfortable or you just wanted something different.
Glad you like it.

Really nice look. We may be doing that some day, but for now we need the two sofa beds in the living room so we can sleep eight.

Furniture

The wife & I hated the Theater unit due to the inability to tilt back with the wall there in the slide out. I'm long legged so the foot rest always hit me in the calves so we put in two stressless recliners. Yea it was $$$$$ but real leather and comfort made it worth it..https://shop.stressless.com/en/recli...11693150942103

EIGHT??? That was one of our inability to see. My wife and Inare really the only ones that go anywhere so technically we only need the bed (as awful as that mattress is)

We knew the kitchenette turned into a bed but unless you’re a dwarf, it’s about useless.

Then of course, no bunks on the floor or overhead and theatre seating.

We’re kind of screwed for guests. But hey, they may not have a place to sleep but we have two baths!!! LOL

We just got the factory optional theater seats installed yesterday replacing the factory couch with flip up leg rest. My wife and I didn't find that couch very comfortable at all. I don't know why they didn't install the theater seats in the first place as the coach has about every other option. I looked around at after market suppliers but couldn't find anything that I really liked and that would fit unless we went smaller. I haven't used them in anger yet but I spent 15 minutes sitting/laying in them while parked in the driveway. I think that I'm going to like them. I should mention that I also got the two detachable tables that come with it as an extra. I think that they will be of limited use and probably wouldn't do that again but we'll see when we get on the road in a couple of weeks. .
