Replacing cabinet door latch on new door

I'm installing a replacement medicine cabinet door that dynamax sent me.
I had a cabinet guy drill new holes in the door for the hinges.
But I can't figure out an easy and accurate way to mount this cabinet latch on the door. The other matching part is on the cabinet already, but since the door dimensions were different, I can't easily measure to mountClick image for larger version

I have done the same thing. Here’s what I did. Snap that piece into the latch with the pointed end of the screws protruding slightly and close the door on it. The screw tips will mark where you want to mount it.

Or better yet, go down to a hardware store and get away from all that cheap plastic stuff that you will have to keep replacing.
First thing I do in any new RV is replace all the catches with better quality and strength. Then I replace all the faucets

One of my divisions has converted to the magnetic ones, we're going to look at it. The whole industry used to use the "Barrel latches" which don't break, but....

The whole reason anyone went to the plastic "Southco" latches was "holding force" 5 or 10 lbs. In a motorhome, you take a turn, cabinet opens and contents fall out = bad.

Many started using the Southco branded latches which are actually very good and I rarely see them break. The problem is all the "knock off" brands that LOOK just like the Southco latch, but are of an inferior plastic. Anywhere I go, I try and make sure the PA specifically sources Southco brand.
