Rescue Tech Module for Trouble Shooting Electronics

2023 Isata 5 28SS

With the issues of slide failures, levelers, awning, and entry step malfunctions do you think this product is helpful;

Rescue tech module by “skill above rv testers”

This devise plugs into the lippert slim rack controller, slim rack motors, level jacks, and awning to trouble shoot the electronics.. in worst case eliminate the electronics with this unit to get out of a sticky situation?.

I am putting together a rescue kit for my travels. This includes a pex water repair kit, electrical testing kit, spare parts to include a spare slide motor and repair manuals. And last one of these “rescue tech” modules.

I have had water leaks, slide issues (3 times), awning malfunction, and level jack issues. Each time I have gotten myself out of trouble.

Dynamax has been good on the warranty, but when traveling you are completely on your own. You might find a mobile tech but that’s questionable.

Anyway, looking for thoughts or anyone using a similar tool as this “rescue tech” module..

In theory, if it is not a bad motor, you should be able to put it in manual mode and get it to work. If it is the motor, then this would probably not help.

In theory its a nice tool. But for the price of that thing you could carry a spare controller, key pad, slide motor and motor wiring harness. I tend to carry these spare parts for critical systems so I can easily troubleshoot and solve some problems at home or on the road.

I have thought about also making a cable where I can use a battery to power a slide motor if necessary.... but having the spare parts just about eliminates the need to do t.

Check out YouTube videos by Mik Master for an RV tech who builds his own test gear for SlimRack and trailer lighting.
I assembled a few Amazon components to be able to operate my SlimRack front slide motor manually while trying to determine a possible controller or wire harness issue.
