Resealing the interface between the front cap and truck cab.

So I noticed that the seal between my front cap and the cab of the truck has a separation across the front. It is not very noticeable when the rig is on flat ground on just the tires, but becomes larger when I have used the auto level feature or if I am parked on uneven ground.

What would be the best way to reseal that interface. I know I am going to make sure I do the leveling from now on, but there is still always going to be some movement in that joint as far as I can tell. What sealing product has the best ability to stretch when used in that application and will not look like total crap when applied to that joint. I know it will be visible since that joint is painted over at the factory, but I want it to look as good as possible.

Looking for product recommendations as well.

We actually stopped painting over it...sort of, and go over it with black sealant. That way the paint does not crack out when it flexes.

What black sealant is used now? I need to reseal it as it is ripped, not just paint cracking which is what it looks like when parked on level ground.

I was unable to see a pdf in the third post. Is the master weld a polyurethane based sealer?

Does anyone have a source to purchase this MasterWeld 620? I have yet to find any source. The 948 keeps popping up.

Thanks

Hey Slim,
I'm pretty sure that HALLA bought it somewhere and a couple of us
chipped in with him, think you had to buy like a whole case.
How may tubes do you need?

I bought if from

https://www.glueit.com/

I had to call to get it priced. Back a few years back we paid $137 for a case plus $10.00 handling fee. worked out to about $5.00 a tube. Not too bad.

I dont have enough left to share at this point, sorry. I am about to use another tube to do winter touchups.

I'm in. I'm out of town on a road trip. I'll call when I get back in and try to ascertain a price.
