REV Heat Shield Warning and Update

The heat shield on my 16 REV rusted off and was dragging the ground holding on by one small screw. I got under and wired it up to get me home. It is the shield between the LP gas tank and the Catalytic converter. If it fell off it could rupture the tanks in the back of unit.

I emailed Mark In Elkhart Indiana parts to see if they had one. He tells me it is a chassis part and was installed by Dodge dealer. I told him if it didn't have a propane tank it would not need a shield. Whoever installed the tank put the shield on, don't you think?? Now what? Lol. I wanted to warn you anyway. This is very dangerous I would think.

There is already a thread on this. Admin, can you consolidate so we have all the info in one thread?

We have noted on our end, but of course nothing can account for things rusting off...exhaust parts, catalytic converter, etc.

No, no worries at all. I just know a couple of people responded over there and as we get updates, I wanted to make sure everyone was in the loop.
