Reverse lights and camera

2017 Isata 3 RW. Lamp out indicator on MB dash- rear view camera works but does not come on anymore when you shift into reverse. Are the white leds around the red taillights supposed to come on in reverse? Just the brake/tail lights come on.

I’m thinking the lack of reverse lights is what’s causing both issues. Any suggestions?

Reverse lights are what triggers camera.
