Word to the Wise. If you own a Dynamax unit that has an Air Suspension system Listen Up.
I just experienced a Rolling Air Bag failure on my 2014 DYNAMAX ISATA IFC310. This unit has the Reyco Granning RD1370F8 Suspension System.
I was fortunate that the failure happened less than 5 Miles from my home and not out on the open road. With the unit parked in my driveway, I was able to use the rear Leveling Jacks to elevate the back of the vehicle and isolate the source of the problem. This presented an interesting scenario. I could not drive the unit to a local repair facility due to the failure.
Everywhere, Online and Dealers do not stock the replacement Air Bags. They are ordered from Goodyear(STEMCO) and it takes about 3 days for STEMCO to ship them to an Authorized Dealer.
Reyco Granning Does have them in stock but only will ship them to an Authorized Dealer like Fleet Pride and Dayton Parts. You can request Expedited shipping for 30% More.
I ordered my replacement Air Bags (4) 2 to replace the existing installed units and (2) Spare from
Stengel Bros. Inc. - Steering| Suspension| Air Ride Specialists They were quite helpful in translating the Reyco Granning 8896 Part number to the Goodyear 1R10-118 Part number that was installed on the RV.
Even if you cannot change the Air Bag yourself, having a spare will facilitate a fairly expedient repair if your vehicle is towed to a repair shop. Otherwise, You will likely have to leave the RV at the shop until parts arrive.
The Problem occurred Friday Afternoon and 7 Days Later I received the replacement and installed the Airbag. Now I can drive it to Fleet Pride and have them do a full system checkout.
I did manage to reach the Reyco Granning Service Rep and he also recommended purchasing a Height Control Valve.
