rik-L-Start 5 Amp Starting Battery Charger/Maintainer

I'm a newbie to this forum. I hope I'm posting this correctly! My new rig is a 2019 Dynamax Isata 3 on a 2018 Sprinter. The coach is a rear corner bed model. I removed from my old rig (2007 Winnebago View) a Trik-L-Start maintainer to use on the new Isata. This device allows a small amount of the solar power to be shared with the chassis battery and needs to be installed near the solenoid that controls the charge from the alternator to the coach batteries. My problem is that I cannot locate the solenoid in the coach. Does anyone know where it's located? When I activate the boost switch on the dash, I can hear a clicking sound near the kitchen sink by the door, but still cannot locate it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an out of town funeral to attend and will not be able to check back for answers until Friday.

Thanks,
J. Hol

Here's a url to Amazon withe eh Trik-L-Start shown:

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I can't answer the question but there are many Dynamax owners on the site and a rep from FR who i'm sure will be able to help you.

trace the + cable from the coach battery, it has to go through the solenoid.

The solonoid in question is under the sink base near the door, should be an access inside the cabinet, your idea is sound, but technically not necessary since the BIM module tracks the voltages and connects the batteries together as needed.

X2. Solar I installed on my 2012 MBS (Solera) keeps both the house and chassis batteries charged in storage. My solar controller is direct connected to my house batteries.

If this is a 2019....were we still doing the BCC (Battery Control Center) that was in the left (rear ) side of the stepwell? Take two screws out of the metal cover...and is there a solenoid in there?

Thanks to all for your replies. Before I do a install of the Trik-L-Start, I should ask: is my rig already set-up with the BCC to maintain a chassis battery charge when not plugged in to shore and not running the generator? In-other-words, can the chassis battery remained charged with solar at the same time the coach batteries are being charged by solar?

Thanks!

Being a CB, that was the first one that we did in Multiplex as I recall. So that did have the BIM and not the BCC. Not so new, new guy is correct.
