RV Airflow Duct Adapter (Forest River Promo Code)

BLT4SPD was kind enough to do a test of this RV adapter by Airflow systems.

https://www.forestriverforums.com/fo...-a-208666.html

In a nutshell, this device redirects the air more smoothly into the duct, by-passing the "quick cool" or "Air dump" feature that may not get used very often. The results speak for themselves...it is quieter and the air flows more smoothly resulting in more cfm at the outlets.

Is it worth it? That's really your call. The people over at RV Airflow saw the post and got several calls as a result, so they reached out and asked if we would be interested in a promo code for our owners.

We get nothing from this...simply passing on things that might benefit our owners. FORESTRIVER20

That's awesome, Brian.

I only had a 10% coupon at the time!

As I mentioned in BLT4SPD's post, we added them a couple weeks ago and could not be happier with the result. Considerably quieter and much more efficient. Our coach cools much faster and therefore the AC's run less.

I did no before/after testing - just observational - but the improvements are noticeable and obvious. I would highly recommend this RV Airflow system to anyone interested.

Do you mind sharing the cost of the system?

Thanks Ben for doing the guinea pig work, and thanks Dynamax for the discount, just ordered two as the price is too good not to pass up. I think RV Airflow should compensate Ben for the sales lead!

Does it still allow the AC to go directly out the louvers on the unit, not go through the ducts if you want?

Or my original post “works by by-passing the quick cool or air dump feature”. Could be clearer I suppose, but that’s what they call the ability to not use the ducts and use the Louvers on the A/C...quick cool, chill grill, air dump, etc.

What model AC unit is on a 2017 XL. I got no paper work and it say Dometic on the shroud. It is not a low profile unit like the Coleman Machs.

It is a Dometic then...a 15k btu heat pump. As far as I know they have not designed this for that.

Got mine today, started the install and then noticed that the thickness of the insert was 5" and my system would work with a 2.25" insert. Turns out that they sent me the setup for the Mach 5, 10, 13 and not for the Mach 8 (as shown on my order).

Sent an email to the company as I could not find a phone number of the website.

Has anyone gotten the Mach 8 insert and can confirm that it is only 2.25" thick?

Just an update, I spoke with Art at the company and there is not much difference in the plenum size needed between the Mach 3,5,10 and the 8 kits. Thus, before you order one, make sure that you have around 5.5" of plenum space to work with. My 2015 DX3 with the Mach 8 only has around 2.5", so neither kit will work on my unit.

Spoke with Mark. We took measurements on our Atwood Command Air. He is going to work a prototype to develop toward having a solution for these.

That would be great if they come up with one for the Atwood units.
We have 2 15033 Atwood A/C units.
