Scratches under slide

We found scratches under bunk slide in our 37bh. You can see them outside underneath slide. We looked all over inside and out but cant see anything past the carpet on inside, rubber and rollers outside. Slid a tape measure under from inside thinking rock or something got under there. Any ideas, also anything that is safe to remove to get a better look?

The carpeted section inside has a vertical panel about 6" tall all along the whole bottom of the slide. That's how you get access underneath to the mechanicals. Just have to go hunting through the carpet to find all the screws to get it loose

Yes, I had scratches too, and while working on the cables had to remove that
whole carpeted section on the bottom and low and behold I found a
screw about 2" long laying in there. My scratches were under the bedroom drawers in that area and so was the screw

Try sliding a wood yard stick and sweep everything out. Do not be surprised if you get more construction trash out.

Suggestion, when replacing the screws on the carpeted panels, put you some screw caps on them so you know where they are the next time. I done this and it makes access to this area much easier and less time consuming.
