Having to open the screen door to raise/lower kind of defeats the whole concept of the shade. May as well have gone with the integrated door window shade replacement. JMO

Classy suggestion. Might as well use a chunk of shower curtain

I just got my shade. Can anyone post pictures of their install? I see that two of the self drilling screws are supposed to go on the bottom... what about the top?
Thanks,
Sean

I installed our new Challenger screen door shade today. 2018 DX3. Easy install, 5 small #6 sheet metal screws. One at the bottom of each leg & 1 at the top, center & both corners. Did not use the screws sent with the shade as they were too large. It looks really good & works great. Also had to replace the top 2 screws that secure the shade to the frame to prevent interference at the top of the inside door frame. I used screws with smaller heads. It will be simple to remove the shade frame to change the screen if ever needed. Will try to post pictures in the Morning.

Good job Walt. I felt like this thread was growing way to long for what should be a simple install. But i guess I haven't seen how they ship it and how much assembly is required.

Looks like original equipment and almost as good as if DYNAMAX did it at the factory. Very Happy
