Series 3 MB Seats

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum.

We just brought home our new 2019 Series 3 and we're spending some time to get acquainted with it. With the exception of a really bad water leak with the toilet everything seems to be in good shape. Heading back to the dealer now to have that issue addressed.

So, here's my question. Regarding the driver's and passenger's seats, the base/frame of both seats are somewhat exposed when they are moved rearward. There is a steel rail toward the front outer corner that is exposed and I have already scraped my shin on the driver's side. And my wife has cut her ankle on the passenger side as well.

So, has anyone found a solution to this?
Or does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have not noticed this problem. The base/frame of the seats in my Coach are covered with a vinyl curtain. Can you post a pic? Also, suggest you post in the Dynamax Forum. You will likely get more response.

It shows up in the Dynamax Forum on mine too. I just went out and looked at mine. The rails are exposed like yours, but all the edges are smooth and rounded off.

Thanks. I thought I was. But it is Monday after all. So there's no telling whether or not my PC is right

I will post a pic here shortly so you can see what I'm referring to.

Also, since we're at the dealership now I'm going to look at another unit and see if it has the vinyl curtain you mentioned.

Here's a pic of what we're talking about.

There's no sharp edges. But steel will win against skin every time.

As is the norm for most forums I did try to search first.
Didn't find anything.

Btw, your post was #7?

And, evidently, I'll have to do some research to learn how to post pics.

I appreciate your first posting as I learned a few things regarding my profile and posting additional items and information from posting #7. Having a 2018 Isata 3 FW I haven't encountered any real problems in normal usage, i.e. getting into seat, out, etc. I find the seats very comfortable but as you mention the framework below is sharp on the edges. When vacuuming the front area I have noticed the edges are a bit sharp but again they haven't protruded to where I have a problem getting in and out.

Did you click on the link I supplied to the Posting 101 thread? If not, do so and look at post #7 in THAT thread.

We have a 2019 Isaiah 3 and my wife has been complaining about getting scratched also. Thinking about putting some kind of plastic cap over the end of the rail. Still looking for a better solution also.

It is the Holy Grail of Class C Coaches, but it is the ISATA 3, not the Isaiah 3!

Wow, now we're getting biblical references. I'm honored.
