Shore power charging

Anyone experienced an issue where your batteries don’t charge while plugged into shore power? All was good and after a couple weeks the chassis and house batteries were dead. Plugged into shore power and both chassis and house wont charge

Need more info. What kind of batteries, is the battery kill switch on or off, is the converter circuit breaker on along with the main breaker?

On my (older - 2012) Mercedes Sprinter Motorhome, occasionally the breaker for the converter would trip when I connected to shore power. Hard to notice, as the 120 volt items (microwave and air conditioner) worked and 12 volt items (lights, water, etc) would run off the house batteries. Also, the breaker would not “look” tripped - lever just slightly off the “on” position.
Try switching the converter breaker fully off, then back on. If you don’t know which is the converter breaker, switch them all…

We took delivery Feb 2020. Batteries are the factory Deaka 92AH installed. Converter breaker not tripped.(flipped of and on). Strange thing is, had not been inside the coach in a few weeks. Was plugged in my garage in my 30A RV outlet. Went to start and chassis was dead. Went inside looked at the Go Power display and was dead. Checked voltage at batteries and were zero volts. Hit the batteries with a charger to get the go power controller to power up. No charge indicators. Single tone every few seconds. Unplugged shore power cord waited an hour (Checked outlet power - good) and plugged back in. Heard the usual chirp and go power controller showed yellow on bat 1 and blue charge indicator on. Started coach on accessory (house battery boost) pulled outside and let run for a few minutes. Checked this morning and 3rd battery light yellow and blue charge light on. Chassis battery 13.2V and House shows 13.7V. Checked converter all seems good. Is it possible the Go power controller was “stuck”? I hate not finding the problem.

Could you post picture of your RV outlet and breaker supplying it. If 30 amp RV outlet, it should have been wired for 120 volts only.

Update: couldn’t leave it alone. Dug further and found no 120VAC at converter. Traced back to the ATS in the nightstand. Found the 10 AWG wire from the shore power receptacle clamped down to tight to the floor before it going into the ATS so if u wiggle the wire it would engage/disengage the power to the converter. Got i working now charging at 13.6 as progressive Dynamics spec says. Will take to the dealer for a super skinny guy to fix the wire. There is obviously a break in the wire so i will ask them to change the 10/3 wire from the receptacle to the ATS. Should still be inside the 2 year warranty? Anyone know if this would be covered?

You may have better luck getting a mobile RV repair company to repair it and then try to get reimbursed for warranty work. We keep hearing about RV's stuck at the dealer for weeks and months with no work being done. I would rather pay out of pocket than miss the use of my TT.

X2 on the Mobile RV repair. Try to get pre-authorization from the factory.
