While I think that is a really cool truck, its just too tough to try and change/add with all of the tooling that goes into what we do. We really pick a partner and run.

And currently, Chevy took a fleet order and is now NOT supplying the 3500/4500 to RV OEM's.

I have very little faith in Chevy after they left the medium duty truck market which left the RV industry high and dry. They're back in now that business is good...no thanks.

Bumping this. 33 feet.

That is as SMALL as I can get. Queen bed, sofa & dinette. Similar to the 30FW layout, but squeezing a washer/dryer in. Even if I could get it smaller I think I would run out of space for utilities. As it sits...one side is electrical, batteries, Generator, wet bay and LP tank. No storage really on driver side.

Sounds good to me! Do you have a mock up/layout who wish to share? Did I miss it?

Will this also have the availability of some sort of Xplorer type package?

Thank for the inside scoop BC.

"similar?" sort of. We used to build the regular Force...so we were actually one of the first with the ISB platform. But my goal with this one is to stay as short as possible.

One, to keep costs down. Two, because people are asking for short in an M2. Three, the lighter the weight, the better that engine will pull.

The Isata 5 does really well in the 32-36' range. I have no complaints about power. However, I think building a 40' coach with the ISB...starts to struggle. Other than that one floor plan at 35'-7"...all the other OEM's are building them 39'+.

As for the ISL...the first stop would ISB. We might consider taking that into the higher levels, but not sure at this time.

PS. While I have a floor plan, I want to run it past sales first to see if there are any tweaks we want to make. Also...I might hold it a bit so my competitors don't try to steal any ideas. I would wait until it would be "too late" for them to do anything in time for the Expo in Sept.

Makes sense BC...Would you be offering the Xplorer Type upgrades or will those be standard equipment?

To be more exact, we would be looking at 32'-8". Which is foot shorter than anything on the market, that I know of in M2.

Sorry, 32'-8" AND have a washer/dryer. We used to build the 35DS....but didn't sell because we had no washer/dryer. Or maybe there were not as many people that wanted short as we think? Not sure on that one yet.

"We want short people" are definitely out here. A washer and dryer is just about the last thing I need. Still hoping for a well equipped 27-28 footer on a decent chassis. Anything over 30' is shorter, but not short!!

Maybe I should have a battle Royale. Have the "must have washer/dryer" people duke it out with the "must be under 30 feet" people, winner take all

PS. What's wrong with the 28SS? Not getting any shorter than that with a decent chassis. (and by decent, I assume you do not include the Sprinter since you have that...so while I think that is a decent chassis, I am just going off of your comments) unless you don't want a "down bed" of any type and then you lose me a bit.

If someone wants a washer & dryer, buy a 35+ footer!! Or give up a wardrobe. I bet most folks that want a short M2 are mostly boondockers and are not planning on living in them. Maneuvering in tight places, storage in smaller less expensive heated structures, and traveling smaller backroads where there may not be many campgrounds.
This whole short M2 thing has been discussed here for a couple years now with nothing in sight for at least another year, if that. What ever happened to this 31' floorplan below?

Sort of still in the works. But we have one at 32'-8 that includes a sofa & dinette.
