LOL...retire and enjoy life!
Hike, kayak, enjoy the slow pace!

And...lol..ride the ferry a lot. But the ferry ride is a beautiful mini cruise through the islands.
No franchise chains allowed on the island. No Starbucks, McDonald's, Taco Bell. Only Mom and Pop shops/restaurants allowed. So very quaint and quiet. About 4000 year round residents and 15,000 tourists in the summer [emoji2356]
Your island looks even more remote.

All depends on where I'm going and the activities planned. I have a Jeep Gladiator I flat tow which allows me to carry a spare tire/wheel in the bed for the MH. Tows like a dream, no wiggle or wobble, the slightly longer wheelbase helps in that regard.

I have a 16' tandem axle trailer I use to haul either a Harley trike or Polaris RZR. Can't even feel it back there. When going to the race track I have a 28' enclosed trailer that hauls the race car, spare tires, fuel and lots of tools and spare parts. Almost 10K when fully loaded, I have wheel chocks built into the floor so the car parks in the same spot every time and keeps the tongue weight balanced right at 1300 lbs.

I have to include a picture of the race car. Its my pride & joy, I've been building and racing it for 15 years. Its a ton of work but there is no substitute for the sound and feel of having 700 old school HP under your right foot. We do vintage Trans-Am road racing, this photo is from a race we did on the streets of Snowmass a few years back. While displaying the car between races, I had a little old lady check the car out closely and she said "I used to drive a car just like this". Turns out it was Janet Guthrie, who drove in the Indy 500. Early in her career she drove a similar car in the SCCA Trans-Am series in the early 70's. She was nice enough to autograph the car for me.

I tow all kinds of stuff lol. But always the jeep and sometimes the dunebuggy or my hot rods. 28ft enclosed and no matter whats in there it pulls like a dream. I agree that people should be proud of what they have, they worked hard to get it so show it off lol.

Vintage TA is alive and well in SVRA - are you running with them? They also own the current TA series which has produces some great racing in TA 2 and 3?

I'm in Denver so I run with RMVR but we use the same SVRA rules and sometimes do some of their races.

Nice. I hope to have a trailer like that some day. Would you have any pics of the inside you'd like to share?

Apologies it took me so long to get back to you I was busy digging my self out of ice and snow to leave the Colorado mountains.

Full size ramp that can support my 6.3k# truck there is also a side ramp at the front so I can unload the bike with out removing the truck

this is how I pack the front of the trailer for now the plan will be Etrack down the walls to make shelves and hopefully now that we are done in the tundra I can get rid of the huge roll of reflectix. The E track flush mounted in the ground was such a good choice makes stacking and loading easier than having bumps. I wish I did it for the wall but $$$ was already over budget for the trailer. So I will just DIY it to the wall.

-in the left tube is the bottom frame for my Skirt
-in the Thule I have my skirt and all of my snowboards the reflectix I cut for the slides ( I did full wrap around for the sides of the slides) and windows plus some other random winter storage things.
- in the right tube is my RV connect we boost antenna pole
I made these tubes and mounted them using unistrut the tubes an open from both sides

this is the power and solar control for my trailer
I can charge on - shore power plug 120v mounted outside on the tongue, Alternator from vehicle using 7pin tow connector, 200w solar on roof. I am running (2) 200ah LI ion batteries for the trailer. I use the power in there to run a battery tender for my motorbike and to charge my Goal Zero 3000k that I use as an inverter situation to run power tools or anything else I need in the trailer

The plan is to eventually put more solar and batteries on the trailer that I can then link up to my RV to make one huge solar system.
