I took delivery of a new Isata 3 last February in the bitter cold of northern Ohio. I was able to do a very through PDI then except for the water systems. The dealer assured me that they had check the water systems and the re-winterized before I got there. When I took the coach it went immediately into storage. Anyway the weather is finally getting nicer and I brought my coach home for the first time. I put water in and was finally able to check out all the plumbing. I have one problem and that is with the shower drain. For some reason it will not drain. I was able to trace the drain piping and it ties into a "y" fitting along with what I believe is the kitchen and bathroom sink drains. Both the kitchen and bathroom sinks drain ok. It seems like there maybe a backflow preventer or some kind of check valve in the drain for the shower just ahead of the "y" fitting. Can anyone shed some light on this.
There is a removable panel in front of the shower and under there is the equivalent of a P trap, but it’s a Hepvo valve like pictured. It may be installed backwards or have some construction debris clogging it.

Or, if they poured antifreeze into that trap I have seen it get sticky and sort of "glue" the flap shut. I think warm water....maybe a little pressure should open it back up.

Thanks Milkman and Brian for the response. I will try the warm water as that would be the easiest solution. I can see the Hepvo valve but it is sitting behind the water pump and it does not look like it is going to be easy to get to. I would take coach back to dealer and let him fix it, but we have a trip planned for next week and dealer can't get to it in time and I am sure that DW will want to use the shower.
After further investigation I found out that the shower drain is not a Hepvo, but is made by a company called Lasalle Bristol Utopia UnGuard Waterless Drain valve. Maybe Dynamax made the change on purpose or maybe is was a supply issue with Hepvo. Anyway from the arrow on the valve it appears to be installed in the correct direction. Next I will try warm water to get valve to open.
