Side/Turn camera guideline adjustment?

Is there a way to adjust the guidelines on the side cameras that come on with turn signals? Are the lines from the camera or super imposed by the head unit (in my case the Kenwood DNX775RVS)?

Do you have a separate monitor for back up camera?

We turn the lines off...as they are not really meant for RV's, or the angle of the camera view. They are typically superimposed as part of the "camera monitor". That is normally a separate monitor today, but could be the kenwood if your backup view is on the Kenwood only.

The kenwood headunit is the only backup monitor I have at the moment. It allows me to adjust the guidelines for the backup camera as well as adjusting settings for the kenwood dash cam unit including horizon, hood and center of lane lines. However, I can't find anything for adjusting the side/turn signal cameras. If the turn signal just switches a relay which feeds the side camera into the headunit display override, then the lines have to be coming from the cameras right? How can anything be done about those?

Ah, OK. The Kenwood was never designed for turn signal lines, it was only ever designed as a reverse camera.

The lines are an overlay that the Kenwood is doing for the video...whatever video is being sent.

So we have a video switch box with triggers. That is taking the input from all (3) cameras and sends a SINGLE video image to the input on the Kenwood. So depending on triggers (turn signal for sides, reverse signal for rear) it will send a video image to the Kenwood. The Kenwood is overlaying the lines on that image. So what you are seeing are the "reverse lines" being overlaid on the side camera video. Again, that is why we turn the lines off, because they are not relevant to the side cameras, but it will display them on ALL video because the Kenwood thinks every image is the reverse image.

I hope that makes sense.

Oh yeah, I see it now. It's the same guidelines as the backup camera. I hadn't noticed given the very different view. Thanks!
