Slide cable replacement

I have a 2017 Dynamax Force 37BH. The top cable rear on the bedroom slide has snapped . Has anyone had this problem and how was it repaired ? I believe the Force HD and the DX3 have the same set up. I can get to the bottom pulleys but the problem is getting to the upper pulleys. Any ideas and suggestions are appreciated

There are multiple threads on the process, instructions on where to get parts, etc. Just do a search on here for cable slide repair.

Yes, I have done several searches and found a various number of instructions and some very good videos but nothing showing how to or what has to be done to get to the upper pulleys on the Force 37BH. I'm sure I am not the first one to have this problem. There has to be someone out there who has had this problem

Id first try fishing the cable in. A boroscope that attaches to your cellphone is a lot of help here. Having the slide partially in may give limited access. Beyond that I imagine you're looking at removing the trim to get more access.

Accu-Slide not so accurate!

The bedroom push-out on our 2019 Dynaquest XL 3801TS exploded while bringing the unit in. The MH was level and the equalizers were extended. There was an extremely loud bang and the slide started moving in an unequal manner. I was able to push the bedroom slide in manually and get it home.

The forward lower pulley assembly was torn off the attachment point and one of the cables snapped at the bolt threads were it attached to chain bridle. It appeared to be a result of the forward chain bridles locking together while one is moving forward and the other is moving aft. The distance between the bridles is minimal even when they are both vertical. I could have used a heads up on this system. I would have inspected the cable tension and bridle orientation every few months.

One cable had to be replaced with a repair kit and the entire system re-rigged. Both forward and aft cable/chain bridles now have a metal strip ensuring the bridles do not touch and lock together. This is a poor design and requires occasional inspection to ensure proper cable tension. The separation strip should prevent a major failure and damage.

Thank You for your response. May I ask if your MH was still under warranty at the time of the failure and if not where did you go to have it repaired

The MH was under warranty, however the repair was done by an independent repair shop.. Dropped it off on April 19 and finished April 30. The earliest date going through a local Forest River shop was September - October 2021. I sent an email to Dynamax about the unacceptable wait time locally and advised I was moving forward with the repair.

It was repaired in Puyallup, Washington. The total cost of fixing the slide was $1000.04. I am hoping Dynamax will meet somewhere in the middle.

All of the trim will need to come off to get to the top two cables. I recommend everyone modify the system to separate the bridles and do a occasional inspection. To see the system I removed the mattress and then removed the lid protecting the fresh water tank. The slide needs to be out to see the Ascu-Slide system on the right lower wall. Dynamax did a great job making it mostly accessible.

Not sure if I am allowed to mention name of repair facility on this site. PM if you want to reach out to them. It is a great place to do business.
