Sliding doors on XL - Solution

The two sliding doors on my Dynaquest XL RB just cant seem to stay put while traveling down the road .... saw this simple and cost effective solution on a Verona LE.

My XL doors stay put with no problems. My guess is that they need adjustment. There are two adjusting screws at the top you can adjust to make level and make sure they are low enough to engage the locking device for the door. I had a similar device on my 5th wheel door and it did not hold up very well. The snap would pull loose and the strap had to be repaired a couple of times. I prefer the ones on the XL doors much better.

My solution. The round thing to the right of the latch is a magnet to keep the latch from flopping around when unlatched.

Ours are constantly getting loose too and then they start slamming closed and open again as we sway going down the road.

I'm planning on trying to use some rare earth magnets to try to keep them in place. It's just a ways down the long list yet. Though I'll keep your solution in mind for plan B.

Sliding doors on XL - Solution

I bought round magnets on Amazon to solve this issue. Used a paddle bit to countersink the one in the door, then mounted one to a cross member behind the door. Problem solved and you don’t see any evidence. Got the idea from a Renegade I looked at that had sliding doors.

Had the same problem. The problem was out of adjustment. Easy fix
