Apparently, the factory is experiencing delays caused by supply chain shortages, primarily COVID related. I am advised that at least several Freightliner units are complete and ready for shipment but for missing driver and passenger cab seats.

Its the tip of an iceberg in all the industrial component markets. The biggest one on the horizon will be refrigerators because of a global shortage of compressor and other components driven by Covid demand and the upcoming need to re-equip virtually every medical installation with higher performance freezers to handle Covid vaccines.

Deliveries planned or intended for 2021 will be hard to predict.

Add metals, like aluminum, due to tariffs and then covid. Was in Sam's this morning. Still shortages of toilet paper, bleach products, even cheeses. Theres no sign of any major supply chain relief on the horizon. Possibly end of next year and that's if covid vaccine is available, effective and in people's arms

I think you are correct. End of 2021 at the earliest. I am struggling to get certain aircraft tires and that's despite many not flying or being maintained. Also getting vehicle parts for anything in low volume production is never never timing. No one knows when they are scheduled for build let alone delivery.

This is correct...I'm likely the one that left the post on Facebook, if it was a FB question.

We are not expected to see a return to normalcy (whatever that means) until after Chinese new year. Fabrics, compressors, heat pumps, etc.

Now the issue is they are OUT of shipping containers in China and the ports are backed up in the USA>
