Looks like it might be the emergency start switch. Pairs the house and chassis batteries in the event you drain the chassis batteries, so it will let you start the coach. OR, if you drain the house batteries, you can pair the other way so that you have enough power to start the generator.

Confirming that if it is below and to the left of the steering wheel it is as Brian stated.

BTW, if you should ever need to use that switch you may what to hold it on for a minute before turning the key to put juice into your starting battery.

One other thing which seems strange but worth keeping in mind.

I unplug everything that is connected to the USB ports and the 12 volt outlet in the dash.

I got into the habit of leaving my dash camera plugged in along with an occasional other gizmo. That ran down my chassis battery even though the camera and other things were supposedly off and the ignition key was in my pocket.

Wait, another one. If the battery gets run down far enough you won’t be able to turn the ignition switch. That is a major PIA gift from Fiat or Dodge. It is mentioned in the manual. Don’t try to force it. Some kind of safety or anti theft feature. I don’t remember. I only remember having really bad thoughts about the people who decided this feature was good.

I am getting started now; if the outside temperature sensor in your drivers outside rear view mirror is failing you will get wonky temperature readings on your dash display. Then you will notice that your dash air doesn’t work! It won’t work if the sensor fails. Then you have to buy a new mirror assembly. Another Fiat/Dodge good idea.

Finally, it is a pleasure to drive. Enjoy.

Hi Bobby, engineers don't always think the right way, I'm an electronics technician and I think like a technician, I always care about how we can solve problems, that's why I have already modified some lack of the vr that I bought last summer! I have a 24rb and I mounted a wall with a recharged device behind the bench near the fridge! I removed the outside TV and I took two inverters. When I finish I post some pictures here to show you the results. All my boxes are made from a 3d printer! see you! thanks again for sharing.

Interesting.

Where is that compartment?

Can you post a photo of that side of your REV at your convenience?

Well, I don’t have 24 RB, but if he removed a television, it would be on the curb side of the vehicle. Then I’d look at the factory striping pattern to narrow down which compartment.
How many curb side compartments are there to choose from?
Do they all open downwards?

On mine one small compartment holds the batteries and the other larger one with a side opening door. From memory my battery door opens up.

My inverters

The compartment under the window above the box, in addition it is directly above the batteries so very short cable!

After taking a better look at your photo It seems you have a larger compartment under your dining window. My compartment in that area is much slimmer and contains my batteries.

What year do you have?

Where are your batteries?
